The Blessing Ring

I recently started a new position at a job I previously worked at. My boss welcomed me back with a goody bag and in it she gave me this card. On it was written The Blessing Ring. Of all the gifts she gave me, this one is my absolute favorite because it shows you just how blessed you are. I honestly cannot wait to start filling up my Blessing Ring!!

Receiving The Blessing Ring as a welcome gift symbolizes more than just a token; it represents the power of encouragement and the recognition of blessings in our lives. From my own experience, keeping a tangible reminder like The Blessing Ring can transform your mindset. The principle behind The Blessing Ring involves collecting encouraging notes, cards, or memories—each acting as a link in the chain of personal blessings. This practice encourages us to notice and cherish the kindness and support we receive daily, whether from colleagues, friends, or family. By placing written words of encouragement, Bible verses, or tokens of fond memory onto the ring, the blessing becomes both a spiritual and emotional anchor. I found that creating a Blessing Ring encouraged me to speak and listen with more positivity. When I gave thoughtful praise or encouragement to others, it inspired a stronger sense of connection and community within the workplace. Furthermore, positioning this Blessing Ring somewhere visible, like a doorknob, acts as a daily reminder that we are both blessed and a blessing to those around us. This aligns beautifully with the scripture on the card, Psalm 121:7-8, which speaks of God's protection and watchfulness over us. Integrating these spiritual reflections with everyday interactions adds depth to the concept — blessing is both received and shared. In today’s fast-paced world, taking a moment to appreciate and record these blessings can greatly improve mental well-being and foster a supportive environment. If you’re considering starting your own Blessing Ring, gather small notes or memorable items that highlight meaningful encouragements you’ve experienced. It’s a simple yet powerful way to cultivate gratitude, inspire kindness, and reflect on your personal journey of growth and faith.
