TAB Slip-Ons Installed on My Breakout 117 | First Start & Sound
Installed TAB Performance slip-ons on my Harley Breakout 117 and the sound difference from stock is huge.
This clip shows the first startup and revs right after the install. The bike finally sounds like it should.
I’m running TAB slip-ons and will post a ride-by clip soon so you can hear it under load.
If you’re running an aftermarket exhaust on your bike, I’m curious what setup you went with.

Upgrading your Harley Breakout 117 with TAB Performance slip-ons is a game-changer if you’re looking for a richer and more aggressive exhaust note. When I first installed the TAB slip-ons, the difference from the stock exhaust was immediately noticeable—not only louder but with a deeper, more throaty sound that truly complements the V-twin engine's character. What I particularly appreciate about the TAB slip-ons is how they manage to enhance the bike’s exhaust sound without being excessively loud or disruptive, striking a nice balance that motorcycle enthusiasts look for. The sound transformation at startup and during initial revs already hints at the performance potential, but the real test is under load during rides. From my experience, once you get on the road, these slip-ons deliver a satisfying acoustic presence that turns heads while maintaining ride comfort. Unlike many aftermarket exhausts, TAB Performance kept the installation straightforward with a bolt-on design, making it accessible for riders with basic mechanical skills. Another advantage is that TAB slip-ons can improve exhaust flow which may contribute to a slight boost in throttle response, enhancing overall ride feel. Although primarily a sound upgrade, pairing these slip-ons with tuning or a performance air intake can further optimize your Harley’s performance. If you’re considering aftermarket exhaust upgrades, it’s worth comparing different brands and models, but TAB’s slip-ons stand out for their sound quality, ease of installation, and compatibility with the Harley Breakout 117. I’d be interested to hear about other riders’ setups and how they’ve found their exhaust systems to impact ride dynamics and style.
