“I’ll be on after a quick nap”
This is why I’m never on in time 😭

Oh my goodness, can we all just admit that the 'quick nap' is a total lie? Every single time I tell my friends, 'I’ll be on in 15 minutes after a quick nap,' it inevitably turns into a full-blown sleep session, and sometimes, even *tomorrow*! Seriously, it's a phenomenon. I mean, my bed just calls to me in a way my gaming squad never can, no matter how epic the raid is supposed to be. It all starts so innocently, doesn't it? You're feeling a bit groggy, maybe just finished a long day at work or school, and you think, 'A short power nap will recharge me. I'll just set an alarm for 15 minutes.' Famous last words, right? The next thing you know, you're waking up in a completely different time zone (or at least, it feels like it), your phone is buzzing with missed calls and messages from your furious teammates, and the sun is either setting again or aggressively greeting you through your window. The guilt is real, people! I remember one time, I was supposed to join a specific event in my favorite MMO. I told my guildies, 'Just a quick 20-minute snooze, then I'm in!' I woke up 8 hours later, completely disoriented, to a stream of messages asking if I'd 'fallen into the void.' My 'quick nap' literally made me miss the entire event. It's not just me, right? This is why the 'quick nap meme' is so universally understood among gamers. We've all been there, promising to be online in 'just five more minutes,' only for those minutes to stretch into hours, or or even days. What is it about that short window of sleep that just completely resets our internal clocks and decides, 'Nope, we're going for the full reboot'? Is it the comfort of the pillow, the sudden release from screen time, or just pure exhaustion catching up? Whatever it is, it's a powerful force. My personal theory is that the moment your head hits the pillow and you declare it a 'quick nap,' your brain just hears 'nap' and goes all in. No such thing as 'quick' when it comes to the call of the pillow. So, if you're like me and your '15 minutes' often become 'tomorrow,' know that you're not alone. We are the accidental sleep champions, the ones who always mean well but can't resist the siren song of a truly good snooze. Just try to give your friends a heads-up that your 'quick nap' might actually be an 'extended hibernation.' Or, you know, just set 3 alarms. Maybe that'll work. Probably not, but a gamer can dream... literally.
