Cowboy Carter- LA
Hi! It’s been a while.
But this is what I wore to Cowboy Carter (Los Angeles, night II).
Most of my jewelry was made/ upcycled.
You know how sometimes, amidst chaotic situations, you stumble upon something so utterly bizarre it almost makes you laugh? That's exactly what happened to me the other day. The local area was pretty impacted by heavy rains, and many of the usual routes were just impassable, turned into temporary rivers. It was a somber mood for many, dealing with the aftermath, but then I saw it: a bright, almost neon pink air sofa, just casually drifting down what used to be a bustling street. I mean, seriously, a pink air sofa! It wasn't just bobbing; it had a certain grandeur, as if it was on a leisurely cruise. It moved slowly but steadily, carried by the current of the flooded road, passing by submerged mailboxes and the lower branches of trees that lined the street. It was such an unexpected splash of color against the murky brown water and gray skies. My first thought was, 'Whose sofa is that, and how did it even get here?' Then, 'This is going to be a story I tell for ages.' It made me think about all the strange things that surface or get displaced during floods. You hear stories, right? People finding random objects miles from where they originated. But a whole pink air sofa is on another level. It was a bizarre, almost comical, reminder of the sheer force of nature and how it can turn the mundane into the extraordinary. For a moment, amidst the worry and the inconvenience, it brought a flicker of amusement. It was like a piece of abstract art, totally out of place but strangely captivating. Later, I was chatting with friends about it, and everyone had a similar 'you won't believe what I saw' flood story. One friend mentioned seeing a child's bright red wagon floating perfectly upright, like a tiny ship, through their backyard that had turned into a pond. Another saw a whole garden gnome collection making its escape down a culvert! It just goes to show, even in difficult times, there are these moments of unexpected wonder or humor that stick with you. This particular sighting of the pink air sofa wasn't just a funny anecdote; it was a stark visual of the water's power. It really drove home the importance of being careful around flooded roads. What looks like a shallow puddle can hide deep currents or dangerous debris, as that sofa so clearly demonstrated. It reminded me that even something as light and buoyant as an air sofa can be carried away with surprising force. Always better to turn around, don't drown, as they say. But I'll never forget that moment when a little piece of home decor decided to go on an adventure down a flooded road, turning a grim day into a vivid, unforgettable memory.

Thank you for not wearing a cheap hat I have seen many looks for cowboy Carter and the cheap hats just ruin the look for me.
