Tampa FINALLY got a Swedish candy shop 🍬🇸🇪
The Pirate Candy Shop just opened in Hyde Park Village and it is everything. We’re talking scoopable bins packed with the best Swedish candy you can find — BUBS, skulls, gummies, sour, fruity, you name it 😭
You build your own bag, scoop as much as you want, and it is genuinely one of the most fun candy experiences I’ve ever had. The BUBS alone are worth the trip — they’re 100% vegan, no gelatin, no weird ingredients, just straight up delicious Swedish gummies in every flavor 🫶
This is what we’ve been missing in Tampa and I’m so glad it’s finally here 👏

If you're a candy enthusiast or just someone who loves trying new sweets, The Pirate Candy Shop in Tampa is definitely a must-visit spot. Having explored many candy shops across the country, I can say this one stands out, especially with its focus on authentic Swedish candy. What makes it special is the scoopable bins—allowing you to customize your own candy mix, which turns shopping into a fun and interactive experience. One of the highlights is their collection of BUBS gummies. These are 100% vegan, gelatin-free, and free of any strange additives, which is quite rare for gummy candies. The wide range of flavors means there is something for every taste: from sour and tangy to sweet and fruity. If you've never tried Swedish candy before, this shop offers a fantastic introduction with quality and variety. Located conveniently in Hyde Park Village, it makes a perfect stop while exploring other attractions nearby. Opening hours are shopper-friendly, ranging from 10am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays, making evening visits easy. Visiting The Pirate Candy Shop is not just about buying candy; it’s about savoring an authentic cultural experience from Sweden right here in Tampa.
