Doing your nails at home is so easy! You just need the basics to get started! You can get a lot of stuff off Amazon in kits, or one by one!
I tried doing gel in the past, but it wouldn’t ever stick correctly. I truly believe I just had a horrible dryer. My coworker bought me the modelones gel kit for Christmas and the dryer works great!!! I really love it! I am just working on the correct consistency for my nails. I feel like this last time I did my nails though I found my perfect middle ground for polish thickness.
Anyways, here is a list of all you would need to do your nails at home:
-nail polish remover (not pictured)
-nail cutter
-nail filer
-cuticle pusher
-cuticle trimmer
-nail primer
-gel base coat
-gel top coat
-alcohol wipes (optional, only if topcoat doesn’t say ‘no wipe’)
-gel color polish(not pictured)
This is all I use at home to prep and start my nails! I don’t use the cuticle trimmer too often. I usually will just push back my cuticles. I only use the trimmer if I really have a thick chunk of skin if that makes sense (lol). I also don’t use a nail filer tool. I’m just scared I will file my nails too fine and cause damage to my nails. I feel like the classic nail file works perfect to get the right amount of shine off my nail! I also only use a nail cutter if a nail chips. Usually I will only file my nails if there is no damage.
