Get Seriously Organized (without losing your mind)
Listen… I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I am saying my peace be depending on me being a little more organized 😭 so I’m saving this list and actually trying it fr.
Here’s what I’m working on (pick a few, not all at once!):
✅ Make the bed as soon as I get up
✅ 10–20 min daily “pick up” (timer onnnn)
✅ Take trash out every morning
✅ Set my top 3 priorities for the day
✅ Plan outfits + workouts for the week
✅ Meal prep so I’m not stressing every day
✅ Keep the car from looking like a snack graveyard 🥴
✅ Review subscriptions (because why am I paying for stuff I don’t use??)
✅ Weekly planner + write everything down
✅ Track spending + set automatic savings
✅ Declutter seasonally + donate what I don’t need
✅ Put stuff back where it belongs (that part 😩)
✅ Pick laundry days + fold immediately (we gon see lol)
✅ Nighttime wind-down routine so I’m not up all night
Mini Challenge: Pick 3 things from this list and do it for 7 days. Small steps, big difference.
Question: Which one you need the most right now?
Me? That “fold immediately after drying” got me in a chokehold 😭🤣
Getting organized can often feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into small, manageable habits really helps maintain sanity and build momentum. One thing I’ve learned from personal experience is that starting with simple morning routines sets a positive tone for the entire day. For example, making your bed first thing not only tidies your space but also gives you an instant win that motivates you to keep going. Another helpful tip is the daily 10-20 minute "pick up" session with a timer. This focused burst keeps clutter from piling up and prevents cleaning tasks from becoming all-day marathons. Also, setting your top three priorities each morning helps you stay focused on what really matters, avoiding distractions and reducing stress. Meal prepping has been a game changer for me. It saves time, cuts down on decision fatigue, and keeps me from reaching for unhealthy options when I’m busy. Planning outfits and workouts ahead of the week is another habit that eliminates last-minute scrambling and helps me feel prepared. Don’t underestimate the impact of regular decluttering too. Doing it seasonally and donating items you no longer need clears physical and mental space. Reviewing subscriptions can surprisingly free up funds and reduce unnecessary expenses. Lastly, the challenge to fold laundry immediately after drying—although tricky—is a small act that stops piles of clothes from taking over your living areas. Creating a nighttime wind-down routine has also improved my sleep quality, helping me recharge for the next day. Remember, the key is picking just a few habits at a time and committing to them for at least a week. With consistency, these small steps can lead to big, lasting improvements in your organization and overall peace of mind.
