๐งถ Instructions
Step 1: Make the Band
Ch 17
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (16 hdc)

Step 2: Create the Twist
1. Fold the strip in half lengthwise so short edges meet.
2. Now fold each end in half again to form a โUโ shape on both ends.
3. Interlock the two โUโs together, like two Cโs hugging.
4. You should have 4 layers to stitch through.
5. Using your yarn needle and yarn tail, sew through all 4 layers across the edge with the whip stitch or running stitch.
6. Fasten off and weave in ends.
โธป
Step 3: Turn Right Side Out
Flip the headband right side out โ your twist will be centered and secure, creating that classic X-knot look!
โธป
๐ Optional Variations
โข Add more of a ribbed texture by alternating BLO and FLO rows.
โข Add a decorative button over the twist.
โข For a thicker band, start with 21โ25 chains instead of 17.
โข For kidsโ sizes, reduce the length to 15โ16โ.
