The flow of GTA 6 games was so strong that a large group of hackers claimed the name of the malware release.
According to a report by the website Android Headlines, numerous malware distribution campaigns have been detected that rely on unreleased GTA6 video game streams to spread malware by a research team from NordVPN, a virtual personal networking company, or VPN. The research team revealed that the detected campaign would be a Trojan-type malware campaign that tricked the victim into downloading the next malware, installing it, or tricking the victim into paying for a Subscription service (the source does not specify what the name of the service is).
In this example campaign, hackers create a fake website and deceive the victim by phishing that the installation file on the site is a test version of the GTA6 video game or a Beta Version with the key to play this test version. However, when downloading it, it installs the above malware immediately. The research team indicates that the Beta version of GTA6 does not exist. In addition, the Rockstar camp has not been announced that the video game will be distributed in any other version than on Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation5. So if there is an impersonation in another version, do not believe it for security purposes.
