Malware campaign aimed at attacking Minecraft gamers

A campaign aimed at attacking Minecraft gamers has already been infected with more than a hundred thousand malware.

According to a report by the Help New Security website, the WeedHack malware distribution campaign, a hybrid of malware that steals data from the victim's machine, or Infostealer, and malware type that remotely controls the victim's machine, or RAT (Remote Access Trojan), is released for rent in the MaaS (Malware-as-a-Service) format at a very affordable price of only US $5 per month (163.76 baht) and US $24.99 per month (818.35 baht) for a lifelong use plan, as well as a free-of-charge use model, allowing access to a large number of small hackers. The free version works in Infostealer malware, focusing on stealing information about playing Minecraft video games such as Session ID and data from all four Launchers.
