Spooky Blind-Date-With-a-Book
I saw a stand in a mall that had a whole shelf of spooky blind-date-with-a-book stuff. They weren't all horrors/thrillers. Most were fantasy and romance or some blend of the 2. And you could make yourself a care package with bath bombs and bookmarks and such. I didn't buy one, because I'm trying to stick to my TBR and book buying ban, but it was really cool looking and I was very tempted. #blinddatewithabookpick #spookybook
The concept of a blind date with a book has gained popularity, especially during the fall season when spooky themes come to life. This trend typically involves wrapping books in opaque covers, concealing their titles, and encouraging readers to venture into the unknown. In addition to just books, many vendors have started including themed items like bookmarks, candles, and various goodies tailored to suit both horror and fantasy enthusiasts. If you're eager to dive into this experience, consider your preferences—do you sway more towards spine-tingling tales or heartwarming romances? With various items to choose from, such as bath bombs or unique bookmarks, you can enhance your reading adventure even more. Special note should also be made of the genre variety that extends beyond typical horror into fantasy, mystery, and romantic themes, providing something for everyone. Before you purchase a blind-date-with-a-book package, ensure you’re aware of your current reading list and how this new addition fits into your literary journey. Such packages can be found in local bookstores or even online, bringing the element of surprise right to your doorstep. Try it out for your next reading event or to add some festive fun during the spooky season!

Sometimes I grab a mystery book like this and convince myself I’ll become a reader, then forget it exists and binge reality TV instead. Still love the idea though.
