It’s laundry day every other day atp😭 #laundry #laundryday #laundrytok #gardenmom #sahmlife
As a stay-at-home mom who spends a lot of time gardening and managing the household, laundry quickly becomes a full-time task in itself. With daily outdoor activities, especially in the garden, clothes get dirty fast, which means it really does feel like laundry day every other day. I’ve learned to embrace this routine rather than fight it, seeing it as part of my active lifestyle. One tip that helped me hugely is organizing laundry into smaller, manageable loads rather than waiting for the hamper to overflow. This way, the washing machine runs efficiently and frequently but for shorter periods, and clothes don’t pile up. Having a designated spot for garden clothes, separate from everyday wear, also helps keep things in order and reduces cross-contamination of dirt. Another insight is that a good quality, quick-dry detergent is a lifesaver. It helps clothes get fresh fast, which is essential when you’re juggling gardening, household tasks, and family care. Investing in sturdy laundry bins and drying racks near the washer and garden entrance makes the whole process smoother. Finally, I’ve realized the importance of accepting that laundry will always be a significant part of my day as a garden mom. Rather than viewing it as a chore, I try to find moments of calm in it—listening to a favorite podcast or music while folding clothes. This balance helps me keep up with the demanding schedule of a stay-at-home mom while finding joy even in laundry day.
