What I eat in a day while in binge eating recovery

Today was a pretty straight forward day

I started my day with my water and some coffee (I forgot to picture)

I did have a bagel with that.. y’all don’t get me started on dunkin, it’s literally become a running joke between me and my boyfriend. They literally get my order wrong every day. It’s funny cause it’s so simple! I literately just want a bagel thrown in a bag . When I tell you I get everything but that! Lol I mean it 🙄🙄🙄 like why do they have to be so extra, I’m literally asking you to do the simplest THING 😭😂 anywho, it was still good obviously 🐖 🐖 🐖

For lunch I had some left over pasta with that AMAZING sauce from Trader Joe’s

Dinner was chicken and rice my boyfriend brought home from this new halal place

After dinner and before bed I had some reading snacks

And I did eat this entire carton of ice cream, even though it was only 550 calories for the whole thing I’m super disappointed in myself for not knowing when to put the lid back on and put it in the freezer

Over all it was a good day, I’m a little disappointed in myself and I did go over my calories by about 200❤️

Stay blessed babes 🫶🏻

... Read moreBinge eating is a complex issue that many face, and understanding it requires patience and compassion. Recovery involves not just addressing food intake but also emotional and psychological aspects. It's common to have ups and downs, as in my experience with a bagel breakfast and leftover pasta for lunch, which reflect a positive relationship with food. Food choices can be influenced by various factors, including cravings and emotional triggers. For instance, indulging in a carton of ice cream may lead to disappointment, yet it's crucial to remember that recovery is not about perfection but progress. Maintaining balance is key, which can be achieved by listing favorite meals, understanding portions, and embracing flexibility in choices. Support systems and communities, like those on social media, provide great encouragement. Use hashtags like #eatingstruggles and #edrecovery to find like-minded individuals who share experiences and coping strategies. Encourage open conversations about binge eating and share recipes or quick meals that make recovery a bit easier. Ultimately, every day in recovery is a learning opportunity. Celebrating small victories helps build resilience. So, as I navigate this journey, I acknowledge my feelings, embrace my choices, and continue striving to foster a healthier relationship with food!
