Oregon Retreat for Wedding Photographers
I am not a photo educator that has a “cult following”.
I’m not one that has sponsorships from photo companies (anymore).
I don’t necessarily have the type of personality that makes me instantly liked online.
I’m not someone that can sell themselves without feeling bad.
But I know how to teach.
And I know how to teach in a way that is easy to understand.
I know how to build a community of friends from strangers.
I know that it’s important to make sure everyone feels included and cared for.
I know that eating together every single day brings us closer together.
I know that allowing each person the time to create for themselves can light the spark that they need to continue.
I know that letting people learn in a relaxed environment with zero pressure can take away a lot of the awkwardness.
I know that my retreats are some of my favorite times of my life. And I want to share that with every struggling photographer out there.
This is my community that I’ve built from the ground up. It’s part of my home. My safe place. One of the places I feel most alive and creative. It’s hard for me to put into words everything that the retreat means to me. What it’s done for my heartache and how it’s helped me so much over the years. Every year I look forward to it. Every year I walk away with new friends and a new appreciation of the work that I do.
I would love to see you at the next one.
The Oregon Coast.
February 8th - 12th.
Attending a retreat like the one on the Oregon Coast offers more than just technical photography knowledge—it fosters a genuine sense of belonging and creative rejuvenation that many photographers crave. Unlike typical workshops focused solely on skills, this retreat emphasizes building a close-knit community where participants live, eat, learn, and shoot together. Such an immersive experience not only encourages collaboration but also provides emotional support in what can be a very isolating profession. One of the greatest benefits of joining this retreat is the chance to network with individuals who truly understand the unique challenges wedding photographers face. The retreat creates a safe space that encourages vulnerability and sharing, which can spark new ideas and reignite inspiration. For those struggling with creative blocks or uncertainty in their work, the relaxed environment allows personal exploration without pressure—something many participants find liberating. The communal meals play a surprisingly important role by fostering deeper connections through shared experiences beyond photography. These moments build trust and camaraderie, turning strangers into a creative family. Returning attendees often describe the event as a highlight of their year, testament to how meaningful these bonds can be. If you’re a wedding photographer, videographer, or content creator feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, an Oregon retreat like this might be exactly what you need to reset before the busy spring season. Limited spots for newcomers ensure a personalized experience, giving fresh faces the opportunity to become part of a supportive industry network. It's a chance to enrich not only your craft but your heart and soul as well—transforming both professional and personal outlooks.
