I L O V E MY HAIR

Growing up, this was not always the case. In middle school. I barely had any edges and the back of my head was not growing much. I used to get perms a lot growing up. This thinned my hair out and it actually caused a lot of damage. I decided to go natural sophomore year of college.

I think the most embarrassing moment for me growing up was when this girl came over to braid my hair and my sister’s hair and she told my mother she couldn’t braid my hair because she couldn’t catch my edges. I was so sad… and I thought my hair would never grow.

BUT GOD

So my mother didn’t stop looking for a hairdresser, shout out to my mother!! We were going to countless hairdressers to have somebody to do my hair. I will always remember Miss Frida. She took me in and became my hairstylist. She would braid my hair and gave it a lot of TLC. She would take hours on my hair, lol but when she finished boooyyyy, she killed it every time!! And my hair started to grow🩷

Now I’m running into hairdressers that want to charge more due to how thick my hair is and that’s a story for another time 😂😅….
