Staedtler Triplus fineliners pastel set

i remembered when these were a hype back in 2017 and i really wanted the 20 set…

fastforward to 2021 - i picked up a set of 6 pastel colors in my college bookstore out of curiosity, initial impression: they write really nice!

aside from the blue and the peach color being too light for annotation, i’d say the overall color selection is pretty nice! all 6 colors are great for journaling if you’re going for a pastel spread!

Known for their triangular shape, these pens provide a comfortable grip, making them ideal for extended writing or drawing sessions. The fine tip, approximately 0.3 mm, allows for precision when detailing drawings or annotations. Users often praise their impressive ink quality, as the pens feature 'dry safe' technology, meaning they can be left uncapped for hours without drying out. This is particularly beneficial for students and artists who might get absorbed in their work and forget to cap their pens. For those planning to use these colors for journaling, the lightness of certain shades like blue and peach might be an aspect to consider, especially if your goal is clear and bold annotation. However, the other four colors provide a lovely variety that can enrich your journal spreads and school notes alike. Additionally, due to their water-based ink, these fineliners are suitable for various paper types, although users should be cautious when writing on textured or rough surfaces to prevent nib wear. If you're looking for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing tool to elevate your stationery game, the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pastel set deserves a spot on your desk.
