How my journal style changed

Hey journal buddies! As someone whose journaling style has changed quite a bit over time, I wanted to share some tips on how you can make your own journal truly aesthetic and functional. It's all about finding what sparks joy for you, whether you're into a clean bullet journal look or a vibrant, reflective space. When I first started, my journal was very much a bullet journal – all about to-do lists and tracking. I found that using grid lines helped keep everything neat and organized, even with smaller handwriting. If you're just getting into bullet journaling, don't be afraid to experiment with different layouts for your daily tasks or habit trackers. You can still make it pretty! Simple doodles or a cute bear sticker can add a touch of personality without overwhelming the page. For a study journal, keeping things organized with clear sections for notes and assignments is key, but adding a touch of color with highlighters or a few aesthetic headers can make it much more engaging. Over time, my journal shifted from strict functionality to a more reflective space. This is where the aesthetic truly began to blossom for me! I started moving away from strictly monochromatic themes to embracing more random, colorful decorations. Don't be afraid to mix and match. One day you might love muted, single-color themes, and the next you might want a burst of rainbow! Incorporating larger handwriting for my thoughts and feelings made the pages feel more open and personal. Adding various colorful decorations, washi tape, and, of course, stickers, became my favorite way to express myself. Creating an aesthetic journaling desk setup can also make a huge difference in your motivation. Think about what inspires you! A tidy desk with your favorite pens, markers, and notebooks artfully arranged can transform a chore into a delightful ritual. Maybe it’s a specific pen and paper aesthetic you’re going for, or perhaps you love the look of a Korean journal with its unique embellishments. Having all your stationery supplies, from cute stickers to different colored pens, within easy reach makes the process so much more enjoyable. Remember, your journal is a reflection of you, so let your creativity flow freely!
