Stabilo swing cool pastel highlighters

one of the earlier stationery that I first bought with my own money…

I practically grew up with these but in the bold verions, as they were easily accessible everywhere. years later they finally hopped on the pastel train, which I love, and so I got myself a set of 4!

it has anti-dry out technology, which means you can leave it uncapped for up to 4 hours and it still won’t dry out!

these are more on the inky side, so if you doodle with these, they leave a really nice watery pool like watercolor. but for everyday highlighting, you have to make sure you’re using these on thicker paper since they bleed!

Transitioning from the bold, traditional versions I grew up with, these pastel beauties brought a fresh, calming vibe to my study sessions and note-taking. The set, often featuring shades like Pink Blush, Lilac Haze, Touch of Turquoise, and Hint of Mint, offers a perfectly coordinated palette that makes color-coding a joy. One of the features I truly appreciate is the anti-dry-out technology. Seriously, who hasn't accidentally left a highlighter uncapped? Knowing I have up to 4 hours before it starts to dry out is a huge relief and definitely extends the life of these pens. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in daily use. Now, let's talk about the ink and how it performs. These highlighters are definitely on the wetter, more 'inky' side. This gives them a unique property: when you swatch them or use them for artistic touches, they can create a lovely, almost watercolor-like effect, leaving a beautiful 'watery pool' if you doodle with them. However, this also means you need to be mindful of the paper you're using. On thinner paper, you might experience some ghosting or even bleed-through. My personal recommendation? Always test on a scrap piece of paper first! For important notes or journaling, I reach for thicker paper, which handles the ink beautifully without any issues. The images captured even show medium ghosting on the back of a notebook page, so it's good to be aware. Beyond just highlighting, I've found these pastels incredibly versatile. They're fantastic for bullet journaling, adding subtle splashes of color to planners, or even creating aesthetically pleasing study guides. The soft hues are much gentler on the eyes during long reading sessions compared to traditional neon colors. If you're looking to elevate your stationery game or just want a reliable, pretty set of highlighters, the Stabilo Swing Cool Pastels are definitely worth trying out. They offer a great balance of functionality and delightful aesthetics, making every highlighting task a little more enjoyable.
