A peek into the journal I keep since 12!

This is a journal that I’ve been keeping since I was 12! It started out as a summer vacation journal but it slowly turned to annual life updates journal when there’s a big travel gap after turning 15 xD

This journal wasn’t anything special, it’s just a 2011 planner that my dad ended up buying but not using, so I turned it into my possession… it wasn’t really a plan to keep writing for that long, and I never thought I’ll be keeping this journal until now either, but I’m glad I did.

looking back at the spreads, I can still recall the things I experienced, my emotion, the scent, the overall scenery and everything. Although my English was quite bad when I started writing, but I can still feel that the little me was really excited to see the world. It’s also interesting to see the change in my handwriting and some doodles, but I barely added any doodle afterwards.

As the years gone by, the way I use language and convey emotion changed a lot, in a better way. All my thoughts and doubts went from worrying about missing out on a hangout to worrying about college applications xD It’s always fun going back and reading all these things.

Just like the original author, I started with simple entries, and now they've become a cherished archive of my growth. It's fascinating how these simple notes, whether they're a quick 'Dear Diary' entry or a detailed bullet-point list, can hold so much power. Many people search for 'journaling notes' hoping to find inspiration, perhaps even how these personal reflections can transform into something more, like songs or compelling stories. While my journal hasn't directly turned into an EP, I've found that the process of writing down my thoughts, feelings, and observations is a powerful wellspring for creativity. Each entry is like a 'track' in the soundtrack of my life, capturing specific moments and emotions. Think about it – the vivid descriptions of places like my Tokyo Skytree sketches, or the raw emotions poured onto a page, are the very essence of what makes a great song or a relatable story. My journal, much like the one described, wasn't anything fancy; it was just a simple notebook. But within its pages, I documented everything. I've noticed how my handwriting changed from childhood to adulthood, reflecting different moods and stages of life. From funny-looking handwriting at 13 to more structured bullet points during more intense periods, each style tells a story. These aren't just aesthetic changes; they mirror the evolution of how I processed and expressed my experiences. What I've learned is that these 'journaling notes' are invaluable. They're not just for reminiscence; they're a tool for self-reflection and personal growth. Re-reading old entries, especially those where I was 'a lot of complaining,' helps me see how far I’ve come. It’s like listening to different 'tunes' from my past – some are melancholic, some are joyful, but all contribute to the overarching 'album' of my life. For anyone looking to capture their own 'journaling notes,' don't overthink it. Grab any notebook, like an unused planner, and just start. Whether you're sketching, writing lists, or pouring out your heart, every single note contributes to your unique narrative. You never know what future inspirations – or even 'songs' of your own life – might emerge from those pages.
