First-Timer in LA? Start Here for Coffee & Vibes✨

First stop in my LA café series is MEMORYLOOK in Koreatown — and wow, this place delivers on aesthetic and taste.

I got the Matcha Eisenspanner and it was so good — creamy, smooth, not too sweet, just how I like it. They also have a super cute photo booth inside (yes, we took pics), and the outdoor space is big and airy, perfect for chilling… if you can grab a seat.

Be prepared though — weekends are packed, so expect a wait. The menu is extensive with tons of food and drink options, and the desserts looked amazing (def trying next time). I’d honestly go back just for the matcha alone!✨

... Read moreAfter my incredible first visit to MEMORYLOOK, I've been thinking about all the little details that make it such a standout spot for coffee and vibes in Koreatown, Los Angeles. While my Matcha Eisenspanner was definitely a highlight, their digital menu screen showcased an extensive list that truly caught my eye. Beyond the matcha-based drinks, I noticed a variety of signature coffees, including the classic Einspanner Latte, which looked absolutely decadent. For those who prefer non-coffee options, they have a great selection of teas and other refreshing beverages, like the strawberry-flavored drink I saw someone else enjoying. The pastry selection is another reason to plan a return trip. The display case was filled with what looked like art – from the perfectly round, chocolate-dusted pastries to the glazed, lighter-colored pastries that were truly 'next level' in appearance. It’s clear they put as much care into their food items as they do their coffee. I'm already dreaming about trying one of their churros next time, especially after seeing them listed on the menu with such tempting descriptions. Beyond the delicious treats, the aesthetic of MEMORYLOOK is a huge draw, perfect for anyone looking for that ideal Instagram moment or just a visually pleasing environment to relax. The exterior, with its dark facade and prominent 'MEMORYLOOK' sign, is already inviting, but step inside, and you're greeted with thoughtful design. The white, modern photo booth with its 'Hani Film' branding is a must-do. We had so much fun snapping pics, and it adds such a unique, playful element to the cafe experience. It’s not just a place to grab a coffee; it’s an experience. Speaking of experience, while the outdoor space is big and airy, offering a lovely spot to chill, remember that on weekends, this place is packed for a reason! My tip for beating the crowds, especially if you're looking to snag one of those coveted outdoor seats, would be to visit on a weekday morning if your schedule allows. Parking in Koreatown can sometimes be a challenge, so consider ride-sharing or public transport, or be prepared to look for street parking. MEMORYLOOK truly embodies the vibrant cafe scene of Koreatown. It's more than just a coffee shop; it's a destination where you can enjoy fantastic drinks and food, capture fun memories in the photo booth, and soak in a wonderful atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or a first-timer in LA, this spot should absolutely be on your cafe-hopping list. It sets a high bar for the rest of my LA Cafe Series!
