Here are some practical steps to help you handle the clutter without feeling overwhelmed. 1. **Living Room**: Start by gathering all the trash and putting dirty dishes in the sink. Clear surfaces and organize entertainment systems. Remember to water plants, dust as needed, and sweep and mop floors periodically. 2. **Kitchen**: Ensure dishes are washed and counters are wiped down. Organize cabinets, toss expired food, and gather trash. Replacing trash bags frequently helps maintain freshness. Sweeping and mopping keep the space clean. 3. **Bathroom**: Start by collecting dirty clothes and trash. Use effective cleaning products like Ajax or Comet for the toilet and clear counters while organizing cabinets. Don’t forget to clean the shower and mop the floor! 4. **Bedroom**: Organize clothes into clean and dirty piles and change sheets as necessary. Declutter surfaces, hang clothes thoughtfully, and vacuum the floors regularly to keep your space inviting. These steps can make the process manageable, allowing you to focus on self-care and mental health. Tackle one area at a time and don’t hesitate to take breaks and celebrate small achievements along your cleaning journey.
