God is more concerned with your heart.

It's so easy to get caught up in our timelines, isn't it? We set goals, make plans, and when things don't go exactly as we hoped, it's easy to feel disheartened, like we're just stuck in the same place. But I've learned something profound that has shifted my perspective, and it revolves around this idea of 'heart posture in the Bible.' What exactly is 'heart posture'? It's not just about what we do, but why we do it – our intentions, our attitudes, and the true state of our inner being. The Bible consistently shows us that God isn't primarily concerned with our outward performance or how perfectly our life timeline aligns with our expectations. He's deeply concerned with our heart. He looks beyond the surface, seeking a heart that is humble, repentant, trusting, and genuinely seeking Him. This isn't to say our actions don't matter, but they flow from our heart. If our heart posture is right, our actions will naturally follow in alignment with His will. This brings me to the comforting truth that 'God is concerned about you.' It’s not just a nice saying; it’s a foundational truth of our faith. When you feel like you're not progressing, when you're overwhelmed by life's challenges, or when you’re asking "God why does it feel like I’m stuck in the same place…still?", remember He sees you. He sees your struggles, your fears, and your deepest desires. The graphics I saw recently really hit home: "You Change Before Your Life Does." It reminded me of Romans 8:28 – 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' This isn't a promise that life will be easy, but that God is using all circumstances, even the stagnant ones, to work something good within us. I used to despise the waiting seasons, viewing them as wasted time or even a sign of God's displeasure. But another powerful graphic said, "Do not despise the waiting season—it is where growth happens. Surrender to the process and trust that God is working, even when you cannot see it." It's where our character is refined, our faith is strengthened, and our dependence on God deepens. It's where God is doing His most profound work – the work in our hearts. So, 'to those who are concerned,' who feel frustrated or anxious about their timelines, I want to share a message of hope. You are not being punished. No one is mad at you. God’s love for you is unwavering. The final graphic I saw put it perfectly: "Let God do His work in you first. The breakthrough will follow." This isn't passive resignation; it's active trust. It means intentionally nurturing your heart posture through prayer, reading His Word, and truly surrendering your timeline to His perfect plan. It means allowing Him to shape you from the inside out. When we prioritize this inner work, aligning our hearts with His, we create the space for the external breakthroughs and blessings to manifest in His perfect timing. Trust His process; His concern for your heart is the greatest gift.
