Thai Ama fought lung cancer and fought in Fuda.

I was an ordinary woman who lived quietly with my grandchildren at home in Thailand, never thinking that one day I would write a story about "cancer," which became part of my 86-year-old life.

It started with a cough that refused to heal, was easily tired, was suffocated until my son became worried, took me to a private hospital near my home, sent me a CT scan, and told me exactly:

"I found a lump in my left lung near my heart and aorta."

I didn't know what to say at the time, but I sat silent and listened to my son talk to the doctor. The doctor said that with my age at a large age, and my heart pressure and kidneys started to function badly, the surgery was too risky to penetrate because it was very close to an important organ...There's no cure.

When I came home, I thought about how to live with it, whether it was painful, whether it would hurt, and how soon it would be, and my son said, "Mom, don't worry, I haven't given up." He started searching the Internet, and one day he said,

"Mom...There's a hospital in China. He treats it without surgery. Let's see? "

I hesitated because at this age I would be able to fly abroad, but when I saw my son's eyes, I knew at least... we had to try.

Across the water, across the sea, because I still want to be with my grandchildren. ✨

I flew to Guangzhou, China, in July 2024 to get treatment at the Fuda Cancer Hospital, and it took me hours to travel, but the Fuda Hospital team took good care.

When I arrived at the hospital, the doctor re-examined the CT scan and suggested to do "Cryoablation," which is a small needle to penetrate the lump and release the cold so that the cancer cells die without surgery. At first I didn't understand, but when the doctor explained that I didn't have to open my lungs, I didn't have anesthesia, it took only a few hours, and it was done with a biopsy.

The first treatment...No fear, only hope.

The cold hijacking results went well. It didn't hurt as much as I thought. I woke up after the treatment and still talked to the doctor, ate, had no complications. A few days later, the doctor reported that I had lung cancer with the EGFR mutation gene, which luckily had a targeted treatment. The doctor gave me a drug called Osimertinib, saying that taking it continuously after the cold hijacking would control the rest of the cancer cells well.

I came back to Thailand in August with a daily dose, and my son helped me check it out to a doctor in China every few months.

✨ I'm still here because we still have a "choice." ✨

At the beginning of February 2025, I went for another CT scan, and the lump, which used to be 4.8 cents large, now collapses to only about 2 cents, no other distribution, no side effects, and I can still eat mild coffee every morning.

I'm not writing this story to invite anyone to go anywhere, but just want to say...People who thought there was no cure, maybe there was still a way, if we were willing to try, I'm glad that day I decided to travel, even tired, even afraid, but the result was the opportunity to live peacefully with my family again.

And that's enough for an 86-year-old woman like me. ❤️
