Why 3/5 stars? because the amount of southern analogies was so overdone that it was annoying. I'm not from the south at all, I'm from New Jersey, born and raised, but I feel like even Southerners would be annoyed at how many sayings are in here. This is a romance. It's literally in the title, so this book will be predictable. I knew that going in, so it wasn't a big deal for me. This is also an enemies to lovers trope. What's funny to me is that the main character, Loni, is a lawyer, and I feel like harassment in the US is a pretty universal law, but she throws what she learned in law school right out the window to literally burn the guy she ends up with. And then you have to love interest, Ian, who goes behind Loni's back and is then so hurt he's in physical pain over the consequences of his own actions.
So...would I recommend? probably not.
Was it worth the read? No lies, it wasn't.
Would I read it again? Nope. Not a chance.
