Think about it: if it's genuinely important, they'll leave a message. If it's spam or a scammer, engaging with them just confirms your number is active, which can lead to even more unwanted calls. I’ve learned the hard way that a quick reply like 'Who is this?' can sometimes open a floodgate of follow-up spam! My next go-to strategy? Blocking! This is a game-changer. Most smartphones make it super easy. On an iPhone, you just tap the 'i' next to the number in your recent calls and scroll down to 'Block this Caller.' Android users have similar options, often by long-pressing the number or going into call details.
