And for all you YA fans, yes, I found 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' by Suzanne Collins! The prequel to The Hunger Games? A total no-brainer to add to my collection, especially with that iconic mockingjay and snake design. Finally, for something a bit different, 'Filthy Rich Vampires' by Geneva Lee definitely caught my eye with its ornate designs. It looks like a fun, escapist read. Shopping a Walmart closing sale, especially for books, requires a bit of strategy. My biggest tip? Don't just browse the main displays. Dig through those overflowing bins and look on every shelf. Sometimes the best finds are tucked away, patiently waiting for someone to rescue them. Also, always inspect the condition. A 50% off book is only a deal if it’s readable! Beyond the books, I also grabbed some fantastic scented wax cubes. You know I love to set a cozy reading atmosphere, and these were perfect. I picked up 'Marshmallow Crispies' (hello, comfort scent!) and 'Magic Spell' – I'm curious what that one smells like! They were super affordable, making them great for stocking up or even for little gifts. These deals were truly a steal. It's bittersweet to see a store close, and it does make me think about how important it is to support our local businesses while they're around.
