Tired of this nonsense😤

This is getting ridiculous….

I got laid off at the beginning of July & despite my best efforts I still don’t have a job offer..

ALL I have been getting back is either ā€œWe decided to go with other candidatesā€ OR absolutely nothing back even with a follow up attempt…

I’ve seen the news talk about this generation being lazy & how nobody wants to work…..I have seen other people complain about this too…

we want to work we want to be able to have a job that pays our bills to keep the roof over our heads & food in our stomachs. & hopefully save enough to have some fun🤫

the problem isn’t our generation

THE PROBLEM is everyone is hiring but NO ONE wants to hire.

I spent most of my day today applying for jobs that I am a good fit for…. I quite literally applied for 9 jobs..TODAY & I will probably not be hearing back from any of them at the rate this is going…

Like does my experience mean anything????

This is not my first time having this issue…last year I went about 4 months without a job before I finally caved & applied for Crumbl (which absolutely sucked & the pay was ass for the way they had me doing EVERYTHING because I was the oldest one working there since everyone else was quite literally in high school…)

I don’t want to go through that again & I just want to stay out of the food industry as people are absolutely horrible. I could never act like that in public…it’s embarrassing…

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk

LMK IF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM FINDING A JOB SO I KNOW I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE ISTG IM GOING INSANE😭😭

... Read moreJob hunting can be a daunting and frustrating experience for many, especially in today's competitive landscape. While it may seem like there are plenty of openings, the reality is that many qualified candidates are facing similar issues as outlined in your story. Common challenges include a lack of feedback from employers, the growing competition from other applicants, and the pressures created by external narratives labeling younger generations as 'lazy'. This misunderstanding can intensify feelings of isolation among job seekers. In fact, many individuals might find themselves applying to numerous positions daily without receiving a single acknowledgment, leading to a decline in morale. Understanding that you're not alone in this struggle can be a source of comfort. Many professionals across various industries are finding it challenging to break into new roles, despite their qualifications and eagerness to work. This has led to conversations about transparency in hiring processes and the need for better communication from employers regarding their selection criteria. To navigate this challenging terrain, consider diversifying your job search strategies. Engaging in networking, attending industry events, or seeking mentorship can open up new opportunities. Additionally, refining your resume and tailoring your applications to meet specific job requirements can make a significant difference. Remember, persistence is key. Each rejection is a step towards success, and connecting with those who share your experiences can provide the necessary support during these trying times. Stay strong, keep applying, and don't hesitate to lean on your community for encouragement.
