It’s incredibly easy, comes together quickly, and creates the most amazing, flavorful sauce that you'll want to spoon over everything. Forget complicated recipes – this is pure comfort food that tastes gourmet. Here’s how I make my go-to beef steak with tomatoes and red onions: What You'll Need: About 1 pound of your favorite steak cut (sirloin, flank, or even ribeye work great here!) 1-2 large red onions, sliced 1 pint cherry tomatoes (or 2-3 medium ripe tomatoes, diced) 2 tablespoons olive oil Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste Optional: 2 cloves garlic, minced; a sprinkle of fresh parsley or basil My Simple Steps to Steak Perfection: Prep the Steak: First things first, get your steak out of the fridge about 20-30 minutes before cooking to bring it closer to room temperature. Pat it dry really well with paper towels – this is crucial for a good sear! Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides. I sometimes add a little garlic powder too. Sear the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Place your steak in the hot pan. Don't overcrowd it! Sear for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust to your preferred doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board, tented loosely with foil.
