Grateful I swiped right!
And whew… that little voice wasn’t lying.
Fun fact: we met on Bumble, and this man REFUSED to ask me out on a real first date. I was sitting there like… sir… hello?? So not only did I swipe right, but I had to initiate the meetup too. What was meant to be a quick, casual couple of hours turned into an all-night conversation that shifted everything for us.
And honestly? I knew early. Like early early.
But the journey to get here? Whew, God had to carry us through that part.
We navigated long distance, chaos, miscommunication, and more “Are we doing this or not?” moments than I care to admit.
Then the world shut down…
And life got real real.
Ultimatum issued.
Faith activated.
And somehow, in the middle of a global pause, God aligned everything. He packed up, moved to Florida, proposed, and we got married, all in the same year. And then? Two babies back-to-back like we were trying to beat a deadline.
And now here we are…
Coming up on FIVE years of marriage.
Five years of choosing each other.
Five years of growing, stretching, laughing, fighting for peace, and building this little family we prayed for.
Looking back now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
Grateful for the swipe.
Grateful for the struggle.
Grateful for the redemption.
Grateful for the love that somehow bloomed in the chaos.
And most of all, grateful that God was stitching our story together long before we understood what He was doing.
Extra blessed. Extra thankful. Extra in awe of how it all unfolded.
Here’s to the little voice that changed everything.

In life, sometimes the smallest decisions lead to the most profound outcomes. The phrase from the image, "In your 20s there'll be a little voice that tells you... girl, just swipe right. He might actually be your husband," perfectly captures this sentiment. Swiping right on a dating app like Bumble may seem casual or even trivial, but it can open the door to life-changing love stories. Online dating has transformed how we meet partners, especially for millennials and busy professionals. While it can feel overwhelming with options and uncertainty, many find that faith and patience play huge roles in the process. This personal story illustrates that initial hesitation, long-distance setbacks, and the challenges of building trust are all part of the journey. Yet, with faith 'activated' during testing times, like a global lockdown, relationships can grow stronger and blossom into lifelong commitments. Initiating the first date despite the other person’s reluctance highlights the importance of taking ownership of your romantic journey. Sometimes, waiting for the other party to make the first move might prolong or prevent connection. The choice to meet shows empowerment and belief in the potential for love, even when the signals seem unclear at first. Moreover, this story underlines how spiritual belief can provide strength and guidance in relationships. The mention of "God stitching our story together" illustrates that many couples attribute their success to divine timing and alignment, especially when navigating challenges such as distance, miscommunication, or external chaos. Finally, celebrating "five years of choosing each other" is a powerful reminder that love requires continual commitment and effort. Marriage and starting a family come with joys and trials that build resilience. Laughter, growth, fighting for peace, and nurturing a family dreamed of all show that when you swipe right on someone special, you continue swiping right every day by choosing love and faith. For anyone skeptical about dating apps or the unpredictability of modern love, this story encourages trusting that 'little voice' and embracing the adventure. Sometimes, a single swipe can redirect the course of your entire life toward joy, family, and gratitude.
