How are we here already?

How are we already at the end of the year?! I blinked and somehow we went from summer splash pads to holiday lights and matching pajama season. Every year flies by, but this one? It sprinted.

There’s just something about December that hits different, the cozy chaos, the twinkly lights, the kids’ excitement over every little thing, the constant talk of “Have you started Christmas shopping yet?”

It’s the season where traditions feel extra special, time feels extra precious, and the nostalgia sneaks up on you at the most random moments.

I love this time of year, the warmth, the reflection, the gatherings, the food, the joy, and yes… even the never-ending conversations about budgets, gifts, holiday events, and what dish we’re bringing to the family party.

December just reminds me how blessed we are to be here, together, closing out another chapter.

Here’s to entering the final month of the year with gratitude, grace, and just a little bit of Grinch energy to get us through.

December invites us to slow down, reflect on the past months, and cherish the present. Whether it's deciding what dish to bring to the family party or sharing stories around a fire, these moments create lasting memories. The season’s magic often lies in simple pleasures: sipping hot cocoa wrapped in a cozy blanket, hearing laughter around the table, or admiring the flicker of holiday lights on a chilly evening.
