The real question, is am I wrong?

I was literally just going through boxes, cleaning up, and getting rid of stuff.

I tossed one down the stairs to throw away… and suddenly my kids are yelling,

“IS THAT FOR US?!”

Y’all… there was nothing in it.

No toy. No gift. Nothing to open.

But the excitement on their faces?

PURE JOY.

They dragged it across the floor, climbed inside, turned it into something only their imaginations could explain and stayed entertained longer than most toys in their playroom ever do.

And that’s when it hit me.

They have shelves of toys. An entire playroom.

But today? They chose a cardboard box.

So here’s your reminder:

They don’t need 5,000 toys every Christmas.

They don’t need the most expensive thing on the shelf.

They need space to imagine, create, and just be little.

We’re still in that season where the box is more exciting than the toy…

and honestly? I kinda love it.
