Where are my girl mamas at?! Do you feel the same?

The best part of raising a little girl is watching a tiny version of myself grow with a whole lot more faith, fire, and personality than I ever had at her age.

People love to tell me “good luck” when they see how strong she is… how she speaks her mind… how she knows exactly what she wants.

But honestly? I love that about her.

I love that she’s bold.

I love that she’s assertive.

I love that she’s protective of her mama in a way only daughters can be.

She is my girl. My little shadow. My sidekick in every season.

And I know one day she’ll grow up, stretch her wings, and find herself in her own big world. They say daughters outgrow their moms for a while, that there will be distance before closeness comes back around.

But I pray she always knows I’m right here…

her home, her safe place, her mama.

And that this bond we’re building right now?

I hope she never outgrows it.
