If my husband were to say…

If my husband were to say he doesn’t feel the spark anymore…

I’d probably laugh first, because if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that sparks don’t disappear… they just get buried under diapers, dishes, and doing life on repeat.

We got married and about nine months later became parents, which means we were learning how to be spouses and parents at the same time. Then we had babies back-to-back. Love never wavered, but time? Energy? Sleep? Yeah… those definitely took a hit.

That’s honestly how Love Games started for us. Not because anything was “wrong,” but because we needed simple, silly ways to reconnect. No pressure. No deep talks required. Just laughing, trying something new, and remembering we actually like each other outside of parenting mode.

And it’s been so good for us.

A reset.

A reminder.

A moment to choose fun again.

We’re in this for life, that’s our prayer. That God continues to cover us, protect our marriage, and draw us closer to Him in every season, even the loud, exhausting ones. So no sir… the spark isn’t gone. It’s just maturing right alongside us.

Now I’m curious…

Have you been enjoying Love Games?

Should we keep it going in 2026? 👀👇

... Read moreWhen life becomes a whirlwind of diapers, dishes, and nonstop responsibilities, it's easy for couples to feel the spark fade. However, based on my own experience and those of many couples I've spoken with, the spark doesn’t disappear—it simply hides beneath the surface of daily exhaustion and stress. One of the most effective ways to nurture your marriage after children is to intentionally carve out moments of fun and connection. The idea of "Love Games"—lighthearted, pressure-free activities that help couples laugh and rediscover each other—resonates deeply. These moments serve as a reset button, reminding you that your partner is not just a co-parent but someone you genuinely like and enjoy spending time with. Faith can also be a grounding force in maintaining a strong marriage. Praying together and seeking guidance through challenging seasons reinforce your bond and fortify your commitment. It’s about accepting that the dynamic of love evolves, maturing with you both rather than fading away. For those wondering how to start, consider simple acts: weekly date nights (even if at home after the kids sleep), playful challenges, or shared projects that allow you to collaborate and celebrate achievements together. The goal is to foster joy and intimacy without the pressure of deep talks or conflict resolution every time. Remember, choosing to prioritize your relationship daily—amid exhaustion and life’s craziness—keeps the flame alive. The spark may look different than before parenthood, but it’s there, glowing and growing stronger when nurtured with intention and love.
