So grateful for this opportunity!

This day was about so much more than just fun… it was about joy, connection, and creating moments that feel safe and freeing.

We had the opportunity to capture content for New Heaven Dominion Inc., a nonprofit that supports foster youth by providing safe housing, life skills, education, and mentorship to help guide them into their next chapter.

We spent the day together at the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando during their spring break trip, and watching both the staff and the girls just dance, laugh, and enjoy each other… it was everything.

Because for many children in foster care, moments like this aren’t always guaranteed. In fact, there are roughly 390,000 children in foster care in the U.S., and what they need most goes beyond resources, it’s stability, support, and spaces where they can truly just be kids.

And that’s exactly what this felt like.

Grateful to witness it. Even more grateful to help tell their story.

From personal experience, I’ve seen how such environments foster a sense of belonging and freedom for these children, who often face instability. This festival, filled with laughter, dancing, and joy, exemplifies how critical it is for foster youth to have moments where they can truly be themselves without worry or judgment. New Heaven Dominion Inc.’s mission to provide not only safe housing but also essential life skills and education aligns perfectly with this need. It’s not just about providing shelter; it’s about nurturing hope and resilience. Stability and support matter immensely, as foster youth navigate challenges that many cannot imagine. Programs and events that focus on community connection and celebration play a crucial role in their growth. Reflecting on the phrase recognized from the event, “A safe space to just be kids,” it resonates deeply. These words capture the core need for all children, especially those in foster care, to experience safety and freedom. Witnessing staff and young participants enjoying themselves uninhibitedly underscores how vital these experiences are for emotional health and personal development. If you are looking to support foster youth or want to learn more about how you can make a difference, engaging with nonprofits like New Heaven Dominion Inc. or attending similar community events can be life-changing, not only for the youth but also for volunteers and supporters. Giving back is more than charity; it’s about building lasting relationships and fostering a culture of care and respect. Experiences like this reinforce why fostering community and compassion leads to stronger, more supported children ready to embrace their futures.
