What are we up to today?!

Some days it’s nothing big, just getting out the house and letting the day unfold. We headed out to grab some content and somehow turned it into one of those simple, full days.

Started with a quick stop at @jeffsbagelrun, then let them run it out at the playground, because that’s always a must.

Of course, we made our way to Foxtail Coffee Co.… which really meant grabbing @kellyshomemadeicecream for a little treat (because balance).

And we wrapped it up at @sprouts for a protein box and sushi.

Nothing fancy, just one of those days that reminds me how much the little things matter.

... Read moreThere’s something truly special about embracing the simplicity of a laid-back family day. With kids often asking "What are we doing today?", I’ve learned that sometimes the best days don’t come from elaborate plans but from the natural flow of everyday moments. Starting with a stop at Jeff’s Bagel Run always sets a cozy tone. Their fresh bagels are a hit with my family, and grabbing a quick bite fuels us for the morning ahead. Letting kids run wild at the playground afterward isn’t just fun—it’s essential. It gives them a chance to expend energy, be social, and enjoy nature, creating joyful memories. A visit to Foxtail Coffee Co. is often a highlight, especially when balanced with a treat like Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. This combination of caffeine and sweet indulgence keeps spirits high and serves as a delightful mid-day break. Wrapping up our outing with something wholesome like a protein box and sushi from Sprouts brings a satisfying nutritional balance to the day. What I cherish most is how these little outings remind me to pause and appreciate the small things—the laughter, the playful moments, and the shared experiences that strengthen family bonds. It doesn’t have to be grand or complicated. Sometimes, just letting the day unfold naturally with a few simple stops is all it takes to create a memorable family outing. For parents navigating busy schedules, remember: it’s these unplanned, authentic moments that your kids will fondly remember. A day filled with spontaneous joy, tasty treats, and quality family time can be a beautiful escape from routine. I encourage you to explore your local gems, find a nearby playground, and treat yourselves as a family. These small adventures foster connection and remind us that the little things truly do matter.
