This girl of mine 😍

Some days I look at her and wonder where the time went.

It feels like yesterday I was dreaming about the little girl I’d one day get to raise. Now she’s twirling in dresses she picked out herself, full of opinions, confidence, curiosity, and the sweetest little personality.

If I could freeze one season forever, it might just be this one. The giggles, the imagination, the hand-holding, and the way she still looks back to make sure I’m watching.

Growing up is such a beautiful gift… but I wish it didn’t happen quite so fast.

To the moms raising little girls: soak up the twirls, the dress-up days, and the little moments. One day they’ll just be memories.

... Read moreWatching my little girl grow up has been one of the most bittersweet experiences of my life. As a mom, I’ve learned to cherish every twirl, every giggle, and every imaginative playtime, knowing these are the moments that shape her personality and confidence. It’s incredible how quickly children change—from the days of dreaming about who they might become to seeing them develop their own style, opinions, and curiosity. The phrase “POV: Watching the little girl I prayed for grow up” perfectly captures that feeling of awe and love mixed with a touch of nostalgia. I remember vividly the times she would look back at me while twirling in her dress, making sure I was there to share in her joy. Those small gestures remind me how important it is to be present, to truly see and appreciate the little things. One thing I’ve embraced is slowing down to savor the dress-up days and hand-holding moments. These times feel fleeting but are immensely valuable for bonding and building her self-esteem. I encourage other moms raising little girls to capture these sweet experiences—not just through photos but through mindful presence. Because, honestly, while growing up is a wonderful gift, it happens too fast, and those memories become precious keepsakes. I also find that celebrating her individuality as she expresses herself through fashion or curious questions enriches our relationship. Sharing in her discoveries without rushing her lets her know she’s supported and loved just as she is. Overall, embracing the present while gently preparing for the future has given me a deeper appreciation for motherhood. It’s a journey filled with unique milestones that, when cherished, create a foundation of love and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
