... Read moreAs a dog owner, I’ve come to realize that chewing is more than just a bad habit—it’s often a signal that your dog is trying to communicate boredom, anxiety, or excess energy. One thing that really helped me was improving management at home by restricting access to harmful items. Closing doors, using baby gates, and picking up shoes or cords made a huge difference. I also started offering a variety of long-lasting chew toys and safe edible chews. These kept my dog engaged and reduced destructive chewing bouts. Knowing that chewing is a natural dog behavior, trading unwanted items calmly with treats or toys helped reinforce positive interactions without escalating stress. Exercise is another key factor: regular walks, playtime, and interactive sniffing games tired my dog out mentally and physically, which significantly decreased destructive chewing. But what truly changed my peace of mind was being prepared for emergencies. Dogs who chew everything can ingest toxic objects like plastic wrappers or socks. I keep activated charcoal-based pet emergency supplies handy, which veterinarians often recommend for toxin binding if ingestion happens. This preparedness can save costly vet visits and protect your dog’s health. In summary, understanding why dogs chew, providing alternatives, consistent management, and being ready for emergencies made a noticeable positive impact in my experience. If your dog is chewing everything in sight, don’t see it as misbehavior—it’s a call for more engagement and safety measures that every pet owner needs to know.

Chewing Gum Can Ruin Your Facial Symmetry
Chewing gum the wrong way can make facial asymmetry worse. Most people chew more on one side, creating extra tension and overdeveloped masseters. Too much tension can also pull the face downward over time. If you chew, use both sides evenly, and keep good tongue posture. Want to learn proper

Do not eat chewing gum
I’m not a fan of chewing gum. It’s almost impossible to chew evenly on both sides. Even if you start 50–50, it usually shifts back to your dominant side. Chewing more does not mean better. It can create new asymmetry and bad muscle habits. What matters is balanced 50–50 chewing and the right
