My essential prehab routine
Prehab is JUST as important as rehab in my fitness journey! Prehab can PREVENT injury and make it so your rehab is easier to manage. I make sure to do these 3 things before and even after every workout to ensure my muscles can perform their absolute best! #lemon8fitness #lemon8creators #sportsrehab #athleterecovery #physicalfitness
Prehab is an often overlooked but crucial part of any fitness routine, and it plays a vital role in preventing injuries and enhancing workout performance. Starting every workout with some form of simple movement—such as walking, stretching, or an active warm-up—helps increase blood flow to your muscles, enhancing flexibility and readiness for physical activity. This foundational step called "ENERGY THAT MOVES" awakens your body and reduces the risk of strains and sprains. Another key component of an effective prehab routine is nutrition. Consuming food and hydrating adequately before exercise provide your muscles with the energy and hydration needed to perform at their best. Drinking water or even energy drinks can help sustain muscle function and delay fatigue, ensuring you have the stamina to complete your workout effectively. Rolling out your muscles before and after training is equally important. Using tools like foam rollers can help release muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce soreness. This practice checks that your muscles are ready to engage fully during exercise and aids in quicker recovery afterward. Incorporating these three elements—movement warm-ups, pre-workout nutrition, and muscle rolling—into your fitness regimen can make a significant difference in your athletic performance and injury prevention. By prioritizing prehab, you not only pave the way for smoother rehab processes if injuries do occur but also support sustainable long-term physical fitness and recovery.

I always forget to roll out my muscles after, good reminder!
