Wall Glitchers give up spot
Hey fellow Raiders! If you're anything like me, you've probably spent countless hours scouring the maps in Arc Raiders, desperately searching for those elusive Rusted Gears. Trust me, I know the grind! It feels like every crafting recipe and upgrade requires a handful of these, and sometimes it feels like they just vanish into thin air. But after a lot of trial and error, I've finally nailed down some reliable spots and strategies that have seriously boosted my Rusted Gear collection. First off, let's talk locations. While Rusted Gears can technically drop from various sources, I've had the most consistent luck in certain zones. From my experience, areas that feel a bit more industrialized or abandoned tend to yield better results. Think about spots like the Old Battleground or around the Water Treatment Elevator. These places often have broken down machinery and abandoned structures, which are prime locations for finding scrap and components like our beloved Rusted Gears. Another surprisingly good spot can be the Control Tower areas or even the smaller Electrical S substations. Always check every nook and cranny, especially inside collapsed buildings or around large, static pieces of equipment. I remember one raid where I found a motherlode near a partially submerged structure close to the th Swamp Outpost – never hurts to explore those less-traveled paths! When you're out there, remember that it's not just about enemy drops. While fighting hostile units can sometimes reward you with Rusted Gears, I've found that looting containers is often more efficient. Look for toolboxes, supply crates, and even old vehicle wrecks. Sometimes, even just picking up random scrap piles can contain them. Keep an eye out for any glow – if your character has a 'ping' ability or if you're using a PING ITEM, it can highlight interactable objects, saving you precious time. Inventory management is also key. There's nothing worse than finally hitting a good farming run only to become OVER-ENCUMBERED and having to leave valuable loot behind. Make sure your BACKPACK is upgraded, and don't be afraid to DROP ITEMs you don't immediately need to make space for those essential Rusted Gears. I usually prioritize gears, weapon parts, and other rare crafting materials over common AMMUNITION if I'm running low on space, as ammo is generally easier to restock. Finally, consider what missions or objectives you're doing. Some extraction points or specific defense missions seem to have a higher chance of spawning more loot containers. So, if you're specifically farming for Rusted Gears, try to rotate between different mission types within those high-yield zones. Happy hunting, Raiders! May your backpacks always be full of Rusted Gears!
