My California adventures ✨

It’s been a month since I traveled to California to go see ATEEZ. I didn’t really know if I want to post but these I wanted to share to look back on.

Im originally from Texas and traveling to California was so interesting. Also this isn’t my first time going to California but the atmosphere is very much different than to Texas.

For you girlies who are Kpop Stans or are getting into kpop. This is your chance to immerse into the concerts cuz it’s such a great experience. I feel like I’m late in the game since I started stanning kpop when I was 18 in 2017 and now I’m 25 in 2024 going to concerts. Though every experience is different for everyone, I really encourage you guys to take the risk of going to a kpop concert and having fun. To say the least ever since this trip I have gone and plan to go to 5-6 concerts that are kpop. But beyond the electrifying energy of the concert, I quickly realized that California is a treasure trove of cultural experiences. If you're planning a trip, especially if you're like me and love combining your passions with authentic local flavors, you absolutely have to explore some of the diverse cultural offerings. While my main mission was to see ATEEZ, California offers so much more, especially if you're looking for unique cultural experiences beyond the concert hall. For instance, have you thought about Santa Monica? Even though it wasn't my primary destination this time, Santa Monica is renowned for its vibrant cultural scene. Imagine unwinding after a high-energy K-Pop concert by soaking in the relaxed, artistic atmosphere of Santa Monica. You can stroll along the iconic pier, catch street performers, explore local art galleries, or simply enjoy the diverse culinary scene, from health-conscious cafes to upscale dining. It’s a completely different vibe from the bustling concert venues, offering a refreshing cultural contrast. Speaking of cultural gems, my visit to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles was another highlight. It’s like stepping into a different world right in the heart of LA! The vibrant shops, authentic Japanese restaurants, and the overall atmosphere offer a fantastic cultural immersion. I loved seeing the cute Sanrio characters in the shops and just soaking in the unique boutiques. And for my fellow K-Pop fans, a stop at the Line Friends store was a must-do! Seeing those adorable BT21 characters like Chimmy, Tata, and RJ in person was so much fun. It’s a great spot to grab souvenirs and soak in some K-Pop adjacent culture, making the whole travel experience even more special. Even exploring the famous sights in Hollywood, I stumbled upon a piece of K-Pop history! Finding the handprints of idols like SUGA and JUNG KOOK felt like a special connection, reminding me how global K-Pop culture truly is. It just shows how diverse the cultural landscape is here in California – you can find unexpected treasures everywhere! If you're planning your own cultural travel adventure in California, especially around a K-Pop event, here are a few tips: research local festivals or events happening around your concert dates; explore diverse neighborhoods like Koreatown for authentic dining, or Chinatown for unique markets; don't be afraid to try new foods; and always keep an eye out for unique street art or local performances. These little discoveries truly enhance any trip. Taking that leap of faith, like I did for the ATEEZ World Tour, and then opening yourself up to the broader cultural experiences California offers, makes for truly unforgettable memories. Live life, explore, and have fun!
