How to Deep Clean Your Room!
1.Declutter!
Start with your bed, then your surfaces (desks, window sills, nightstands, etc.), move to putting all laundry away, and finally your floors! If you give yourself a system to get all of the immediate mess off the floor and bed, you’re gonna be off to a good start in your deep clean!
2. Do Your Laundry!
To truly declutter your place you will need to get rid of any pile. In my decluttering process, I simply organize my laundry and put it in a bin rather than actively wash them. I do this to prevent any form of diversion or confusion from my task which brings me to this step! I have a post on how to do laundry which I would love to share to anyone that needs it but for the sake of this post, I feel as though the establishment of this step is necessary.
3.Wipe all surfaces
While your clothes are in the laundry, and once you have somewhat of a clean surface to work with, you can work on getting to the true mess of your room ... the dust, dirt, and grime!! Clear out your surfaces and clean them thoroughly with a damp cloth or paper towel.
4.Organize
Now at this point, your space should be clear; your laundry should be out of the dryer and somewhat separated to your liking; and you should have a nice, dust-free surface to work with. To add icing on top of the cake of a clean room, it's time to organize! For me personally, I like to have a plethora of containers to put all of my small belongings that don't go anywhere specific. Due to this, I like to make sure these little spaces are organized to further add to the clean status of my room. After that I like to do a quick look over and make sure things are where they need to be. When I finish this process, I know my room is officially clean 🧼
