How to start Investing!
Don’t be scared. When I had just started become more financial responsible, I would hear everyone talk about the stock market and to invest money. But they never tell you where to start. These tips helped me out.
🍃 I personally use Fidelity to invest because it’s really easy to navigate. Just download it (or an app similar) and start playing around with it. There’s lots of tiny courses and blogs that you are able to learn from.
🍃 Researching and trying to teach yourself is the only way you’ll know. Most of us don’t get taught about money so it’s really on you to start. Books, youtube, even reddit is where I find some good info
🍃When you are ready to buy, look into ETF’s and index funds. Some are more reliable than singular stock picks
🍃 If your company offers a retirement account (401k’s/ Roth ira’s), take advantage. Even 1% of your paycheck is something significant over time!

Investing can be daunting, especially for beginners. However, it is vital to understand the basics before diving in. Firstly, consider exploring micro-investing apps such as Acorns to gradually build your portfolio. These apps can help you learn the ropes without the pressure of making substantial investments right away. Familiarize yourself with brokerage accounts, like Fidelity, to gain confidence in your investment skills. Take advantage of educational resources such as online courses, books, and financial blogs, which can provide valuable insights into various investment strategies. Reddit communities dedicated to finance can also offer support and knowledge sharing from fellow investors. When you're ready to invest, focus on diversified options such as ETFs (exchange-traded funds) and index funds. These are generally less risky than picking individual stocks and can provide more stable returns over time. If your employer offers a retirement account, such as a 401(k) or Roth IRA, make sure to contribute even a small percentage of your paycheck. This not only helps you save for retirement but also takes advantage of potential employer matches, making your money work harder for you. Starting small can lead to significant growth in your investment portfolio over time. As you progress in your journey, remember that the key to successful investing is continuous learning and adapting your strategy as necessary. With dedication and the right resources, you can build a successful investment portfolio even as a beginner.
