You guys this is my first workout video so be nice :) I hit legs heavy 2 x a week (if I have time I do a light glute focused day in the middle but I almost never do). Almost every set is 3x5 as heavy as I can go. I do full upper body once a week at home. Lmk if you wanna see my warmup or if you like this kind of content!! I am a teacher and a mommy of one! I've been lifting since 2020!! If I can do this anyone can!! #dfyneathlete #dfyne #glutesworkout #legsday #girlswholift
Starting a consistent heavy leg day routine can truly transform your lower body strength and muscle tone. I’ve been lifting since 2020, and keeping my leg workouts intense with 3 sets of 5 reps allows me to progressively overload safely and make steady gains. Even with a busy schedule as a teacher and a mom, hitting legs twice a week has helped me build strength without feeling overwhelmed. What works well for me is focusing on quality over quantity—pushing myself to lift as heavy as I can for those reps really sparks progress. I also occasionally add a lighter glute-focused session midweek to boost muscle activation without overtraining. This balance keeps my workouts effective but manageable. If you’re new to lifting or pressed for time, I recommend setting realistic goals and building up gradually. Don’t hesitate to mix in upper body workouts at home to maintain overall fitness. Also, warming up properly before heavy lifting is crucial to prevent injury and improve performance. I’m happy to share my warmup routine if you’re interested! Remember, if I can stick with lifting and see results while managing a busy life, anyone can. Consistency and dedication are key, and it’s all about finding what fits your lifestyle. So grab some weights, follow a structured routine like mine with 3x5 sets, and let’s hit those leg gains together!
