Happy Heavenly Birthday
4 years ago we
Surprised my Dad for his 80th birthday.
If only I could rewind time. I miss my Dad.
Every day I am aware of the giant hole he left.
He was one of a kind. A man's man, capable of being a Knight in Shining Armor. He led an amazing life. Army veteran, big rig truck driver, motorcycles and boats, model airplane builder, plumber, electrician, carpenter, mason. volunteer firefighter, coast guard auxiliary, Boy Scout for the ages, integrity was ingrained in his soul. He taught me all of it! How lucky to have such a man for a father - and yet not another man on the planet could ever compare. Honest, true, humble and a capacity for love that we all felt. He had fire in his spirit, lit by a pure light, willing to drop everything and help people in need.
What a blessing to have had you in our lives, it makes missing you so much more difficult.
Happy 84th birthday Daddy, your 3rd in Heaven.
