this book is a part two to another book I read last year! it involves a detective searching for a missing little girl in town and only a few days later does her only friend end up missing as well. little does the detective know that the ones closest and most important in the girls lives are the ones behind both of their disappearances….a mystery book you will not be able to put down!!!🫣
you definitely don’t need to read the first book to start this one but it helps understanding certain context that is brought up throughout the book.

You want those unexpected turns that genuinely make your jaw drop! The best authors, like Jeneva Rose, masterfully craft plots that keep you guessing until the very last page. It’s not just about who did it, but why and how they get away with it (or don't!). Secondly, strong character development is crucial. Whether it's the detective, the victims, or the suspects, you need to feel invested in their stories. Even if the article mentions it's a part two, 'Last Day Alive' did a fantastic job of drawing me into the new characters and the unfolding drama. Lastly, the pacing has to be just right. You want enough suspense to keep turning pages, but also moments to breathe and process the clues. When I'm looking for my next read, I often look for recommendations from fellow bookworms or specific 'best of' lists, trying to find those hidden gems.
