... Read moreNovember marks a peak time for planting garlic and onions, which are essential staples in many gardens. Both crops not only enhance your dishes but also provide health benefits. When planting garlic, gardeners should select either Hard Neck Garlic for colder climates or Soft Neck Garlic suitable for warmer zones. It's crucial to consider local frost dates and soil conditions to ensure proper growth. Moreover, onions can be planted as sets or seeds, depending on your preference and local conditions. They thrive in well-drained soil with good sunlight exposure. As you prepare your garden beds, remember to incorporate organic matter like compost to enrich the soil and promote healthy development. By planting these crops in the fall, you'll set yourself up for a bountiful spring harvest. Happy gardening, and don't forget to connect with fellow enthusiasts using hashtags such as #garden and #fallgarden!

Thanks for reminding me that you can in fact start planting during the colder months. I had a little garden I tried last year but it didn’t work out so I didn’t even try it this year. I grew the seedlings indoors and then drastically moved them outside which was a no no 😭

I use garlic in almost everything I cook but I’ve been too nervous to try and plant any especially since we have a lot of stray cats that hang around my house and I know it can be very toxic to them!
