Dinner Arby’s copycat

Arby’s has very tasty roast beef sandwiches

You can make it at home with 3 simple products

- aj jus seasoning (follow how to make it on the back of product)

- add 4 oz of roast beef lunch meat to the aj jus once it’s done cook roast beef for 4-6 minutes

- use whatever bun you want for this sandwich

- optional add nacho cheese to the top if you prefer

I though this had way more flavor than Arby’s sandwich it was so good

I found that using Kroger's thin-sliced roast beef, which is 96% fat-free and contains no artificial nitrates, gives the sandwich a fresh and lean flavor. The key to enhancing the taste is definitely the au jus seasoning mix—you can usually find it in the sauce section; following the instructions on the package helps you create that rich dipping sauce that Arby’s is famous for. To prepare, I heat the au jus and then add 4 ounces of the roast beef lunch meat, letting it cook for about 4 to 6 minutes to soak up all the flavors. For the bun, I like to use a toasted sesame seed or an enriched bun that holds the juicy meat without getting soggy. Adding nacho cheese on top is an optional step that adds a creamy, slightly spicy kick, perfect if you want a melty texture. What I really enjoyed about making this at home is the ability to experiment with the sandwich components—adding toasted onions and garlic from the Big Dipper sauce mix or even some fresh lettuce and tomatoes can elevate the sandwich further. Plus, it's gluten-free friendly if you choose the right buns and ingredients. From my experience, homemade versions often taste better because you control the portion of au jus and the quality of meat used. Plus, you can avoid high fructose corn syrup that’s commonly found in fast food. Trying this recipe also means you can immediately prepare a fresh sandwich whenever you crave Arby’s classic roast beef, without leaving your house or waiting in line. It’s perfect for a quick plated dinner or a lunch that feels indulgent but is straightforward to make. Give it a try and tweak it to your taste—you might find your homemade version even better than the original!
