Kim Hong Temple, Paya Lebar, Singapore

With over 60 years of history, the temple originated from the former Kim Hong Village in Geylang.

Early overseas Chinese settlers invited the deity Qing Tian Da Di (Marshal Wen Qiong) to enshrine here. It began as a simple shrine and developed gradually. Due to urban redevelopment, the temple relocated several times before settling at the current premise in 1998, with its faith inherited continuously.

The main deity worshipped is Qing Tian Da Di, revered as the God of Healing, blessing devotees with safety, health and protection from misfortune. Secondary deities include Second General, Third General, Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Black & White Impermanence.

It preserves traditional Teochew rituals in Nanyang and actively engages in community charity work.

Incense smoke carries the nostalgia and blessings of early migrants. Amid the bustling city, this temple remains a peaceful sanctuary for worshippers.
