Dynamax Legendary battles are not for the noobs
Even with 4 level 40+ we still failed a few
Okay, so you've seen my post about how brutal Dynamax Latios raids can be, even for us seasoned level 40+ trainers. It’s not just me; many of my friends have struggled too! It really hits differently when a trainer under level 40 joins the Dynamax legendary raid expecting you to carry them, and suddenly your well-laid plans fall apart. But don't despair! Here's what I've learned from countless attempts to help you finally conquer this challenging legendary. First, let's talk about why we fail. Latios is a Psychic/Dragon type, making it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, Ice, Dragon, and Dark moves. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Its high Special Attack and Speed, coupled with its powerful Dynamax moves, can quickly wipe out even the strongest teams if you're not coordinated. One big mistake I see, even with high-level players, is bringing Pokémon with suboptimal movesets or types just because they have high CP. Always prioritize type effectiveness and utility! For effective damage dealing, consider Pokémon like Hydreigon (Dark/Dragon), Weavile (Dark/Ice), Chandelure (Ghost/Fire), or even Gengar (Ghost/Poison) if you have strong ones. Don't forget the importance of support Pokémon! A Grimmsnarl with Reflect and Light Screen can be a game-changer, reducing incoming damage significantly, especially if your teammates aren't bringing the toughest attackers. Now, about that feeling when you're teamed up with someone a bit under-leveled. It's tough, but it happens. If you're a trainer under level 40, don't just rely on others! You can still contribute massively. Focus on bringing a Pokémon that can apply status conditions (like Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp, if applicable and safe), or one with a strong defensive presence that can survive hits and perhaps use a support move. Every little bit helps. Communicate if you can! A quick message like "I'll try to support!" can set expectations. For the higher-level players among us, if you find yourself often having to carry them, try adjusting your own strategy slightly. Instead of pure offense, consider bringing a bulkier attacker that can withstand more hits, allowing weaker teammates to stay in the fight longer. Using items like Max Revives and Potions strategically is also key – sometimes reviving a fallen teammate at a critical moment can turn the tide. Breaking shields quickly is paramount. Coordinate your Dynamax attacks to ensure you're taking down those shields efficiently. Don't save your Dynamax for the very end; use it to break shields and deal massive early damage. And remember, sometimes despite your best efforts, you might still fail. That's okay! Learn from each attempt, tweak your team, and try again. Persistence is your best friend in these legendary raids. Good luck, trainers!
