... Read moreHappy Thanksgiving! This year, I decided to celebrate the holiday in a truly unique way – by getting some incredible new tattoos! I know, a lot of people think of turkeys and family dinners, but for me, it was also about marking a new chapter with some fresh ink. Seeing my new tats under the protective film just added to the excitement of the season!
I've been planning a patch sleeve tattoo for a while now, and finally, the timing felt right. What exactly is a patch sleeve, you might ask? It's a collection of individual tattoo designs that are strategically placed close together, often with some fillers, to create the look of a cohesive sleeve rather than one large, continuous piece. I absolutely love this style because it allows for so much creativity and personal expression with each unique design. For this session, I added a prominent spiderweb tattoo, which has a cool, intricate feel, alongside some striking skull tattoos that really add a bold edge. To balance it out, I also incorporated some delicate floral patterns, making for a fascinating mix of hard and soft aesthetics all on my left arm. I even got a fresh, rectangular tattoo design, which has a bit of a card-like shape – still deciding if it's a specific card or just a cool geometric element!
Getting a new tattoo, especially a larger piece like a patch sleeve, is always an experience. From discussing the design with my artist to the actual tattooing process, it's a journey. The aftercare is just as important as the tattoo itself. I'm currently keeping my new ink moisturized and protected, especially with that clear protective film, to ensure it heals beautifully. It’s definitely a commitment, but one I'm always happy to make for art I love.
For anyone considering getting a new tattoo around the holidays, or a patch sleeve tattoo of your own, here are a few tips based on my experience. First, make sure you're well-rested and hydrated. Second, always follow your artist's aftercare instructions religiously – they know best! And finally, embrace the process and enjoy your new art. It's a personal statement that stays with you. I find getting tattoos around Thanksgiving a great way to reflect on growth and new beginnings. It’s a permanent reminder of a special time and a way I express gratitude for the journey I’m on.

That is amazing, it looks cool, how many tattoos do you have in total. I don't have one but it is sore after you get it? ❓ ❤️❤️
